OUR ROOTS
Located in Alcover (Tarragona) and specializing in organic food. With agricultural roots, it now has a presence in all stages of the product's life. What started as a humble business has grown to become at the heart of the national hazelnut production.
Foundation and beginning of Paño Fruits' commercial activity. Located in the basement of the family house with a small artisan roaster in the center of the town of Alcover, Tarragona.
After several years working with nuts, we fell in love with good coffee. We started working with different varieties, roasting, and packaging coffee.
From humble beginnings in the basement of the family house, we moved to larger facilities to continue growing.
This year, we started taking steps to transform Paño Fruits into a reference in the organic food sector. We registered the company as a producer, packager, and distributor of organic products, and began the transition to organic food.
We began producing and marketing what is now considered the best hazelnut in the world, with a Protected Designation of Origin, being the only one for a nut in all of Europe, the Reus Hazelnut.
We continue to grow strong, and this year we moved to the new Paño Fruits plant. Located on the outskirts of Alcover, it allows us to work with a larger quantity of products, with more space, and continue growing with enthusiasm.
We obtain the BRC certification, one of the most widely recognized international standards, ensuring requirements that guarantee the safety, high quality, and legality of our food.
Our agricultural production and suppliers become 100% organic, leaving behind conventional farming to offer the highest quality without using harmful chemicals for our health and the planet.
We are granted the international IFS certification, a quality standard recognized worldwide. Ensuring the supply of safe products, achieving cost reduction, and ensuring transparency and rigor throughout the supply chain.
We work with Fair Trade producers. A commercial system based on dialogue, transparency, and respect, aimed at achieving greater equity in trade by paying special attention to social and environmental criteria. Offering better commercial conditions and ensuring the rights of disadvantaged producers and workers.
For the third time, we decided to move to new facilities. The growth of the project pushes us to relocate our plant and offices to accommodate the project's dimensions.
We expand our newly opened plant with a logistics center and new production lines to meet the growing demand from our numerous clients.
We continue on our path, and there is still much to be done. And we will do it guided by the values that have always defined us: honesty, transparency, and determination. We want to contribute and build something bigger and better. Something that will last, maintaining the same drive and passion we had from day one.
