For this work, we have the support of the Vicente Ferrer Foundation, with 50 years of experience in the country and its method.

PROJECT: HELPING CHILDREN IN NEPAL

This project is based on 3 points:
- Protection and schooling of the most vulnerable children, girls and boys aged 3 to 6, who live around the brick kilns.
- Assistance and rehabilitation for children with disabilities, with special focus on cerebral palsy
- Empowerment of caregivers, mostly women and adolescents.

In the last 54 years, the commitment of our collaborators has been essential in fulfilling our mission to support the most vulnerable communities in the fight against discrimination, inequality, and poverty.
We trust that we will continue together in this new challenge, to offer the children of Nepal the care they need.
With the goal of empowering women, the new homes are titled in their name, so they obtain property and an asset for the future of their daughters and sons.

PROJECT: CONSTRUCTION OF A RESIDENTIAL EDUCATIONAL CENTER FOR MINORS WITH CEREBRAL PALSY
With this project, a residential educational center for children with cerebral palsy will be built, with a capacity for 40 boys and 40 girls in the Dornala area, Prakasam district. This center is expected to help children with mild and moderate cerebral palsy acquire skills that will allow them some degree of autonomy, and some may even be able to continue with regular academic education.

MULTIFUNCTIONAL CENTER FOR MINORS WITH DISABILITIES: DORNALA
It includes two specialized schools (intellectual disability and cerebral palsy) and one inclusive primary school, all with their respective dormitories. Support structures: cafeteria, open auditorium, and outdoor play area. Residential operation with rehabilitation services and therapeutic support. Qualified and experienced teaching staff; an average of 1 teacher for every 15 students. Support staff with specific training; 1 caregiver for every 20–25 children. Buildings, spaces, and facilities designed to meet the specific needs of the users. Use of renewable energy on the campus; a friendly environment with abundant native vegetation. The project execution is divided into three phases: the first phase (intellectual disability) is already completed, and work has begun on the second phase, facilities for cerebral palsy. The third and final phase will be the inclusive school. The life cycle of each phase: 26 months.

HOUSING IN ANDHRA PRADESH AND TELANGANA:
Having a solid home with proper hygiene and safety conditions is an essential requirement to achieve the social integration of families into the community.
The buildings of the Vicente Ferrer Foundation harmonize with the surroundings thanks to the use of local materials. Their design, dimensions, and functionalities are adapted to the customs and practices of the region.
They are simple 45m2 homes, with two interior rooms, a personal toilet, and an outdoor space covered by a porch.
With the goal of empowering women, the new homes are titled in their name, allowing them to acquire property and an asset for the future of their daughters and sons.

PROJECT 2019: HOUSING CONSTRUCTION
This project will involve the construction of 15 homes for 15 families in the village of Chinnannavaripalli. These homes aim to improve the lives of these families and indirectly benefit the entire village and surrounding population.
In order to access these homes, the Vicente Ferrer Foundation requires conditions such as: enrolling children in school, a commitment not to rent or mortgage the property, participation in community development programs, registering the property in the woman’s name, among others. All of these are aimed at improving life in the area and for the families. These requirements align with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

PROJECT 2018: CONSTRUCTION OF WATER INFRASTRUCTURES
This project will involve the construction of a reservoir with a capacity of 91,520 cubic meters of water in the village of Buchaiahgaripalli. This reservoir will improve the availability of water resources to meet the agricultural and livestock needs of the local population, benefiting a total of 2,509 people.

Improvements in farming and livestock Most of the inhabitants of the state of Andhra Pradesh (where the village of the project is located) only know agriculture as their means of livelihood. This situation becomes particularly problematic because, in India, the lack of rainfall, combined with insufficient infrastructure for water management, makes it impossible to cultivate much of the land.
That is why the Vicente Ferrer Foundation, in this project, will construct a reservoir that will feed 35 surface wells, providing access to water for cultivation, directly impacting the economy of all the families in the village and surrounding areas.
This improvement will directly affect the lives of the local population, increasing their quality of life, and, on the other hand, it will enhance the ecological environment, increasing the biodiversity in the area.

AGRICULTURAL AND LIVESTOCK ACTIVITIES PROJECT IN ANDHRA PRADESH
This project aims to improve the socio-economic situation of farming families in the village of Kutagulla, Kadiri area, through agricultural and livestock activities that will enable them to generate income. The project is expected to impact a total of 3,850 families in the area.

Livestock activities In this part of the project, dairy cattle will be provided, along with training and resources for their care, to 14 women in the village of Kutagulla. The milk production from this livestock will increase the women’s income, giving them a more significant role in contributing to the family economy, as well as economic independence.

Agricultural activities In this part of the project, drip irrigation systems will be installed, benefiting farming families dedicated to horticulture in the village of Kutagulla. Drip irrigation will allow them to save water, increase production, and ensure continuity in cultivation.

Paño Fruits has been selling Fair Trade organic sugar in Brazil for many years. With our project in this country, we aim to return money to the origin to contribute to its improvement and eco-social development, enhancing the living conditions of its inhabitants.

"ABRIGO NOSSO LAR DE SERTÃOZINHO"
Abrigo Nosso Lar is an orphanage founded in 1991. This foster home, located in Sertãozinho, serves the entire area, the Cruz das Posses district, and nearby municipalities such as Barrinha. Currently, it accommodates 19 girls, with plans to expand capacity to 25. The goal and mission of this project is to provide a home for girls and teenagers who are victims of abuse, including physical, sexual, psychological, or other types of mistreatment. In this home, a pleasant recreational space is offered to the girls and teenagers, creating an environment of serenity, tranquility, and fun. Additionally, they receive psychological support and are trained to live normal lives, helping them forget the traumas and problems they have faced.
